About Roman
Welcome to the intersection of education, psychology, philosophy, and information systems—my home base for curiosity and innovation. I’m Roman Naghshi, a Teaching and Research Assistant in the Department of English, French, and Writing at King’s University College, Western University.

While I come from a family of educators and was once drawn to the world of STEM, it’s the complexity of the human mind and the power of transformative education that truly captured me.

Along the way, I have had the privilege of working with outstanding mentors like Dr. John Drew, Dr. Rob Power, and Dr. Isam Faik, exploring questions of meaning, learning, and the evolving relationship between humans and technology. My time as a Karate Sensei and my work with newcomer youth at the YMCA have deeply shaped my belief that education is not just about knowledge—it is about empowerment, resilience, and growth.

In addition to my teaching and research roles, I served as an Academic Department Assistant at King’s, gaining firsthand insight into the inner workings and institutional dynamics of post-secondary education. This experience deepened my understanding of the administrative frameworks, governance, and operational layers that sustain academic life.

Today, my work bridges disciplines, exploring how digital tools, artificial intelligence, and critical pedagogy can challenge outdated systems and center student voices. Whether in education, business, or philosophy, my mission is clear: to help people navigate complexity, rethink assumptions, and shape a better world.
